For Meat-Eaters:

Some people think we are "made to eat meat". Recent studies now show that humans are more like herbivores than carnivores. Carnivores have a special enzyme to help them digest meat, which humans lack. Humans have very long intestines compared to the short ones of carnivores. Meat-eaters need short intestines in order to digest meat quickly, so it doesn't start festering while being digested. Also, meat-eaters have very acidic saliva, while humans' is alkaline. Therefore, humans have key herbivorous traits that they share with all other herbivores on Earth.

Others say we should worry about fellow humans first. Sure, you can do that too, but one easy way of helping fellow creatures is to not EAT them!

Pythagoras said: "For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love."

This doesn't mean you have to be a slaughterer to massacre animals and sow the seed of murder and pain, you just have to buy meat, which supports the factory farms.

• Vegetarianism is an automatic cholesterol-cutter. Dietary cholesterol, which causes heart disease, is found only in animal products.
